🖨️ Printers

🧭 Overview

The Printers section allows you to create and manage the printing configurations for your establishment.

Printers configured here can then be assigned to:

  • specific users (Register or Main)

  • product groups

This setup ensures that orders are automatically printed in the correct location (kitchen, bar, register, etc.) when they are sent from the Android application.

➕ Creating a Printer

When creating a printer, the following fields are required:

🏷️ Basic Information

  • Printer name

    • A descriptive name to easily identify the printer in the system

  • IP address

    • The printer’s IP address on the local network

    • Depends on the network configuration:

      • Wi-Fi

      • Ethernet

  • Double printing

    • Defines whether each order should be printed:

      • Yes → double printing

      • No → single printing

⚠️

The IP address must exactly match the one configured on the printer.

If in doubt, check:

  • the printer’s network settings

  • or its internal administration panel

🔗 Assigning Printers

Once created, a printer can be assigned at two key levels:

👤 Assignment to a User

(usually of type Register or Main)

  • Allows printing of terminal-related documents:

    • provisional receipts

    • VAT receipts

    • cash register prints

  • Each terminal therefore prints to its own dedicated printer

🧾 Assignment to a Product Group

  • All products belonging to this group will be printed on the assigned printer

  • Essential for automatically routing orders to:

    • the kitchen

    • the bar

    • a specific preparation station

⚙️ Best Practices

  • Assign:

    • production printers (kitchen, bar) to product groups

    • cash register printers to Main/Register users

  • Ensure consistency between:

    • product groups

    • users

    • printers

  • Test printing after every configuration change
