🧾 Products

🧭 Overview

The Products section allows you to create and manage individual items available for ordering in the Android application.

Each product must be assigned to a product group in order to be:

  • visible in the application

  • selectable during order taking

Products are the core of your menu. Their configuration directly impacts:

  • order behavior

  • item availability

  • pricing

  • receipt and ticket printing


➕ Creating a Product

When creating a product, the following fields are available:

🏷️ General Information

  • Product name

    • Name displayed in the application and the administration panel

  • Product group

    • Group to which the product is assigned

    • Determines visibility, printing behavior, and rules inherited from the group


💰 Pricing & VAT


🎨 Appearance & Identification

  • Image

    • Product image

    • Used on the online ordering website and kiosks

  • Color

    • Color visible in the application to improve menu readability

  • Barcode

    • Assign a barcode to a product

    • Compatible with barcode scanners to avoid manual entry

    • Scanning automatically selects the linked product


⚙️ Advanced Settings

📦 Stock & Availability

  • Stock

    • Optional

    • If enabled, stock is automatically decremented with each order

  • Hide product

    • Hides the product in the application, website, and kiosk

    • Without deleting the product or losing sales statistics


⏱️ Special Pricing

  • Timed product

    • Starts a timer when the product is ordered

    • The total is calculated based on a price per minute when the order is closed

  • Dynamic price

    • Allows the price to be entered manually at the time of ordering

  • Price by weight

  • Allow decimal units

    • Allows fractional quantities (e.g. 0.5 kg)


🎯 Promotions & Organization

  • Fixed promotion (%)

    • Applies a percentage discount directly to the product

  • Order

    • Defines the product’s position within its group

  • External reference

    • Links the product to an item from an external platform

  • Purchase price

    • Internal purchase cost of the product (useful for margin analysis)


📝 Content & Media

  • Description

    • Visible on the online ordering website and kiosk

    • Multilingual description

      • Up to three different languages

  • Additional images

    • Add multiple visuals to enhance product presentation

  • Tags

    • Used to filter and organize products in the back office


🧩 Product Options

Options allow you to create composite products (menus, add-ons, customizations).


🔗 Parent / Child Relationship

  • Online order parent product

    • The product becomes an option of a main product

    • Appears only as a selectable choice during online ordering


➕ Free and Paid Options

  • Ability to offer:

    • free options

    • paid options

  • Multiple choices can be defined for the same product

  • Option order is important

👉 Example: dessert should appear after the burger

💡 Best practices:

  • Use (+) for extras

  • Use (–) for ingredient removals

  • Prefer clear, explicit names—even if they are long


🔁 Multiple Selection

  • Enable multiple selection for:

    • free options

    • paid options

  • Selection limits depend on the settings defined in the product group


✏️ Custom Option Names

  • Custom product description

    • Allows renaming a group when it is used as an option

    • The custom name replaces the default group name in the customer interface
