General Overview
The Kitchen Display System (KDS) allows staff to view, track, and manage orders in real time from multiple screens connected to the POS.
Orders can be displayed on:
Kitchen screens (for preparation)
Main digital register
Large customer-facing screens (optional)
This ensures clear communication between the front of house and the kitchen, while improving order accuracy and speed.
Order Status Columns
Orders are automatically organized into columns based on their progress:
🔵 Pending
New orders appear here
Orders are waiting to be prepared
Includes both takeaway and dine-in orders
🟠 In Progress

Staff can move orders to this status when preparation begins
🟢 Ready

Each order is displayed as a card.
The level of detail shown depends on the screen type.
