General Overview

The Print Barcodes feature allows you to assign and print barcodes on products so they can be scanned using a connected barcode scanner.

This feature is primarily intended for retail-type establishments, where products are scanned at the point of sale.

Using a barcode printer makes it possible to generate barcodes on products to facilitate scanning with a connected scanner.

Hardware Requirements

⚠️ Important

Barcode printing is supported only if the organization uses a Posbel-compatible label printer.

  • Printing barcodes on non-compatible printers is not guaranteed

  • Barcode size, alignment, and readability may be affected on unsupported printers

Accessing the Print Barcodes Screen

  1. Open the POS menu

  2. Select Print Barcodes

The system displays the product catalog, grouped by category.

Product Selection

  • Products are displayed in a grid, filtered by category

  • One or more products can be selected

  • Selected products are added to the print queue, shown in the right-hand column

The print queue represents the exact set of barcodes that will be generated.

Printing Barcodes

Once products have been added to the print queue:

  1. Click Print (X) Labels

  2. The system generates barcodes for each selected product

  3. Labels are printed using the configured printer

Each printed barcode corresponds to the product configuration saved in the POS.

Label Alignment

⚠️ Alignment note

If the printed barcode is not centered on the label, the label roll must be:

  • Fully adjusted to the left side of the printer

Incorrect roll positioning may result in barcodes that are unreadable or partially printed.

Usage Notes

  • Barcodes are linked to products, not prices

  • Any product modification requires reprinting barcodes if physical labels are updated

  • Barcode scanning requires a compatible scanner connected to the POS
